Regular Season League Play
Two (2) practice weeks March 19 & 26 will precede LEAGUE Play. On April 2, the regular season will begin and continue for 22 weeks ending on August 27. The 22 weeks will be split into two halves, first half consisting of 11 weeks endingJune 11 and the second half consisting of 11 weeks.
League Playoffs
Winners of the 1st half will meet winners of the 2nd half in a playoff (Front 9) on September 3. Team scoring will be the total net score of the top 3 individual scores at 100% handicap. Each golfer must golf with a member of the opposing team. Golf-outs will be permitted but you must golf-out with a member of the opposing team or an Officer.
End of Year Outing
This year’s outing will be held on September 10 thru 12 staying at the Holiday Inn, Beaver Falls, PA. Courses & tee times as follows: We will play (Blackhawk, Beaver Falls 10:00 AM– optional Friday), Stonecrest, Wampum, PA 9:34 AMSaturday, & Fox Run, Beaver Falls, PA 9:40AMSunday. Your LEAGUE dues will pay for two (2) rounds of golf and one (1) night stay and any other perks given to the LEAGUE based on this package. Additional rounds of golf and/or nights stay will be at the golfers own expense and paid to the Secretary Treasurer as packages are made available.(Extra Friday Nite stay $58 – Friday Golf and Nite stay $89)

These are the RULES – do not ask for exceptions!
Rule 1 – Teams
There will be seven (7) teams each consisting of four (4) golfers with one player of each level A, B, C and D. Each team will select their own captain.
Rule 2 – Disputes
All disputes will be decided by a majority vote of the team captains and officers.
Rule 3 – Scoring

Handicap - Based on 90% of last four (4) scores played. Maximum 20.

Match Play - 2 points for winner of the most holes – 1 point each for a tie

Stroke Play - 2 points for winner (net score) – 1 point each for a tie

Handicap Play - 1 point for net score under course par (net score 35 or better)

Blind Play - (playing against a vacant or injured spot) player plays against par with
even handicap for match play points. Every hole must be completed or you will forfeit stroke play points. Match or stroke play points not won will be given to opposing team.

Double Par - No more than DOUBLE PAR to be counted on Par 4’s & 5’s. Actual
score on Par 3’s, Par 4 = 8 stroke maximum, Par 5 = 10 stroke maximum

Forfeits - Golfer plays against par at 1.5 times his handicap for match play
points. Every hole must be completed or you will forfeit stroke play points.

Regular Play - Top three (3) scores count for team points each week.

Putts - Golfer must make all putts measuring 12 inches or more.
Rule 4 – Ready Golf
Please play “ready golf” everywhere possible. The increase in the number of players and the amount of daylight time are factors to consider. Playing “ready golf” will help everyone finish in a reasonable amount of time.
Rule 5 – Out of Bounds
Golfer gets one (1) tee shot. If the ball goes out of bounds, the golfer goes to where the ball went out of bounds and plays his next shot from there with a one (1) stroke penalty treating the out of bounds as a hazard. This also applies to a lost ball in high rough.
Rule 6 – Golf Outs
Round must be played prior to the night of team play. The following guidelines must be followed or you will forfeit the match:

Golf with anyone from the LEAGUE or Golf with any witness but you cannot golf alone.

Golf a Tri-Match which must be announced before the round starts and be used for the same nine (9) holes (front or back). That score will be for the night you designate at the time the Tri-Match is announced. Only three (3) Tri-Matches are allowed in a season. (Unlimited in 2010 by vote of Captains & Officers)

The maximum number of golf outs and Tri-Matches in any combination is limited to 50% of the number of regular LEAGUE nights in the season.

Turn golf card in at pro shop. Card must be place in LEAGUE box. Score cards taken home are considered invalid. NO EXCEPTIONS!

No golf-outs are permitted during any scramble or LEAGUE event.

During practice weeks, you must log in if you intend to golf out that night. A signup book will be next to the register as you pay for golf.

Your first 2 weeks played in the regular season in each half will be mandatory tri-match weeks. Your scores those nights will count for your 1st & 2nd missed night on the appropriate nine holes unless golf-outs or tri-matches were done prior. Unused tri-matches from the mandatory weeks will expire at the end of the 1st half. No need to mark your scorecard on these weeks.

Golf-out and tri-match scores will be applied in the chronological order played on the appropriate nine holes.
All golf out scores must be turned in before the night of play or a forfeit will result. No scorecard on night of play will constitute a forfeit. Golf out scores do not count toward low net or low gross prizes.
Rule 7 – Rain Outs
Show up at the golf course rain or shine. If 50% or more of LEAGUE plays that night, it will count as a regular LEAGUE night. This total does not include golf outs or tri-matches. Entire LEAGUE golfing must finish 6th hole for the night to count. Your score for any un-played holes will be par plus handicap. Latest starting time for a rain delay will be 6:15 PM. A one (1) hour maximum delay during play will be allowed.
Rule 8 – Absentee/Player Replacement
A player will be replaced after missing three (3) times per half (not including golf outs). In the case of an illness or an injured golfer, a temporary golfer may be substituted immediately. An old player coming back from an illness or injury will have the first chance to fill any opening. Players must golf or golf out fifteen (15) weeks minimum in order to be eligible for year-end prize money. Full dues must be paid by all golfers attending the year end outing. Replacement additional players planning on attending the year end outing must pay base cost of outing plus percentage of differential as prize money for entry. Those wishing to be eligible for all prizes including points etc. must pay full dues. Additional players for the year end outing will be charged the base cost of outing plus twenty dollars ($20.00) to cover prize money and will be eligible for all year end outing prizes except low net scores.
Rule 9 – League Dues
Total dues for the2010 season will be $200.00 payable in one (1) lump sum or payable in six (6) easy installments as follows: (1) Membership fee ($35) due April 2 (2) April dues ($35) by May 7 (3) May dues ($35) by June 4 (4) June dues ($35) by July 2 (5) July dues ($35) by August 6 and (6) August dues ($25) by September 3. Dues are to be paid only to the Secretary-Treasurer. A $5 penalty will be assessed when a golfer misses a payment and the next payment is due. $5 penalties will be compounded when multiple payments are missed. Dues are not refundable. The Secretary-Treasurer will not pay any LEAGUE dues.
Rule 10 – Yearend Outing Replacements
If you cannot attend the yearend outing, you will not receive any money back. It is your responsibility to find a replacement for yourself at the yearend outing. You have until two (2) weeks prior to the yearend outing(August 27 in 2010) to find a replacement and work out payment arrangements with that person. You are still responsible to the LEAGUE for your dues payments. The LEAGUE will not collect money from your replacement except the $20 as required under Rule #8. Within the last two (2) weeks(August 27 thru September 10 in 2010),the LEAGUE will attempt to find a replacement. The replacement will be charged $20 and you will receive no money back and is not obligated to anyone for the remainder of the fee. In the event of an “emergency”, the League will attempt to recover as much of the year end cost associated with the going away package and refund it to the golfer. There will be no guarantee of the amount. A vote of officers and captains will determine whether or not to accept the golfer’s situation as an “emergency”. The golfer is bound by this vote/decision. This applies to the LEAGUE provided yearend package provision as described in the “End of Year Outing” section of these rules.
RULE 11 – Fund Raisers plus Games of Skill & Chance
Each week the LEAGUE will run games of skill and chance where your participation is voluntary. They include but, are not limited to the following:

Skins game (Handicapped but does not include Par 3s)

Closest to Pin on a Par 3
The LEAGUE will not sell strip tickets or any similar tickets to raise money with the LEAGUE name (Quality Mould Golf League) being affiliated with the sale of such tickets.
Rule 12 – LEAGUE Recruitment Incentive
Any golfer, who was a member in good standing from the previous year, is encouraged to recruit new members to join the LEAGUE. If the new player(s) pay their dues and is (are) in good standing at the last night of LEAGUE play, the recruiting golfer will receive a $10 credit toward their own dues for each member they bring in to the LEAGUE. The new member cannot be a person who was a member last year and either quit, resigned, was injured, etc.
